     “Le vin, moins on le touche, mieux ça vaut” Jules Chauvet

     Jules Chauvet, the father of natural wine, used to say that the less the wine was touched, the better it turned out.
     We have reached the same conclusion, and this is precisely what we now seek for RiFF:

We believe that wines that are handled as little as possible are the ones that best pair with our dishes.
     They may contain no sulfur, or a homeopathic dose (we are not that radical), but all are made based on the same idea: Absolute respect for nature combined with minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery, to preserve purity and achieve the maximum expression of flavor and terroir.

Most of these wines come from small wineries, are produced in extremely limited quantities, and are sometimes very difficult to obtain.

     Many of the bottles come to us directly from the winery, because we always seek a personal relationship with the vigneron, as it is sometimes impossible to understand a wine without knowing who makes it. Behind each label, there is a world, and to discover it, one must know the vineyard, the winemaker, and why not, even the horse that helps in the vineyard.

     Our goal is for most of our wines to be of minimal intervention, but this is a process and it takes time. We are gradually reducing wines that are not natural, biodynamic, or organic, but we don't want to remove them all from our list either – some classics and wines with which we have a lifelong sentimental connection will remain in our cellar.
